About me

  • Name: Abir Chowdhury
  • Study Program and Semester: Masters of Engineering in Innovative Communication Technologies & Entrepreneurship, 3rd Semester
  • Position Running for Student Member in the University Board
  • Name of the List: Impact

As the only non-Danish candidate in this election, I bring a truly global perspective shaped by years of activism in Bangladesh, Norway, and Denmark. My life and studies have taught me the value of understanding diverse cultures, and my involvement in student politics is rooted in a desire to make a real impact—not just talk about change. Alongside my academic pursuits, I enjoy painting, reading, writing, exercise, sightseeing, volunteering, and singing—always striving to learn, connect, and inspire.

Driven by a global perspective, I believe real impact means turning diversity into strength.

Key issues

The impact I strive for centers on improving Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB); bridging the gap between native and international students; and fostering genuine study-life balance for everyone. I am committed to ensuring better mental health support, more vibrant events, and a truly open, democratic environment that gives every student regardless of background a voice.

Impact means making sure every student belongs, participates, and thrives—no matter who they are

Why vote for me

Amidst all the candidates running for this single position, I offer something no one else does: the possibility for real impact through dialogue and representation of voices often left unheard. I am determined to blend in with students and build relationships with decision-makers, narrowing the gap between everyday experience and university politics. Voting for me means choosing authentic engagement and concrete solutions - not empty promises.

Choose impact—choose understanding, action, and connection for every student
